At Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School, students are provided with endless opportunities to express their feelings, thoughts, ideas and perspectives through their mode of prefered communication.

Students are encouraged to develop leadership skills by taking on roles such as School Captains and Student School Councillors where they act as a voice for the students regarding matters that affect them.

Students at the Bullengarook campus are encouraged to participate in their Student Support Group meetings where student learning goals and progress are discussed. These students are also supported to complete an accessable Attitudes to School Survey on a yearly basis where they share their perspectives about their school experiences.
