Music at Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School provides opportunities for students to work on Social , Physical and Communication goals. A Music therapy program is offered at the Primary campus and at the Secondary campus a Music program will be formally introduced in 2019 . Facilities to deliver a music program will be completed in 2020.

Primary

A Music therapist works with students across the primary campus each Monday – Wednesday.

Students participate in class sessions as a group with the therapist.

A small number of students also work individually with the therapist as appropriate.

The activities are offered within a fun environment and may involve use of instruments, movement to music and dance.

Secondary

Students at the Secondary campus have an opportunity to access a limited range of instruments currently . Students can access choose to utilise instruments over break times.

Secondary students can elect to join a others and enjoy rehearsing for opportunities to perform publicly to their peers and their school community at events such as school assemblies, school productions or the annual school extravaganza.

Music facilities will be incorporated into the new building at Bullengarook Campus, ready in 2020.
